2010 Outstanding Teachers of the Year

We are so pleased announce the Monroe County Education Foundation 2010 Elementary & Secondary Outstanding Teacher of the Year Awards ~ Mrs Rhonda Burch, a 2nd grade Teacher from Monroeville Elementary School and Ms Chitunda Howard, a 9-12 grade Math Teacher from Monroe County High School. The application for Mrs Burch spoke of how she always go beyond the expected by writing her students notes, offering praise and providing tokens of encouragement. It was noted that Ms Howard takes a lot of her time mentoring other teachers and working with other teachers to ensure all students succeed. Congratulations.
